When Marvin and I came through Quartzsite, Arizona the first time in 1985 and
saw the clear blue sky, clean air and happy, friendly people, we knew we wanted
to spend more time here. Then we went to the flea market (advertised as the
world's largest!). We were like two kids in a candy store!
At that time I was doing needle punch and fusing-painting on shirts. Two ladies
asked if I would teach them how to fuse shirts, so we set up a class I could
do in our Arizona Room. We were staying at the Split Rail RV Park at the time
and our little screened room would give us plenty of room to spread out. Well,
those two each asked two friends and those friends asked friends to join them.
Ninety five (95) ladies later, I had to ask Hank and Fran if I could use the
clubhouse. A two hour class became an all day marathon with Marvin running for
more supplies several times throughout the session. I used up all of my backup
supplies and still the ladies kept asking for more.
From that one class, Marvin and I took our $300 investment and started selling
craft materials out of the back of our 1967 Ford pickup at Four-Corners. Many
rented places and enlargings later, we've continued to grow and expand to our
present location. Now I have my own land with a large building, annex, office
and classrooms and I can re-arrange to my heart's content.
Our goal is to serve every crafter as efficiently and knowledgeably as we know
how. And if you don't know, we'll teach you. Everyone can learn, and we are friendly,
helpful and patient. So come see us anytime or call and we'll get your order
out as promptly as we can. |
